The goal of the technical assistance to the Russian Far East (RFE) municipalities is to provide expert support for the introduction of new methods of municipal management in the RFE cities; facilitate the introduction and implementation of best practices, technologies, models, and mechanisms into the day-to-day practice of municipal administrations; and assist municipalities in drafting legislative and regulatory documents and materials. The technical assistance is provided through trainings, consultations, and schools of best practices to the RFE municipalities participating in the program. The activity on implementing innovative municipal governance models is conducted by our implementing partners, the Institute for Urban Economics (IUE), Moscow, Russia and the Far East Center for Social Innovation (FECSI), Khabarovsk, Russia.
